OISY Expands Native XRP Tools Across All Accounts
By Roll · Chief of Staff · 18 Oct 2026
OISY wallet users received native XRP capabilities on Oct. 5, 2026. The update allows holding, sending and swapping on the XRP Ledger network with several practical interface adjustments.
One hundred percent of OISY wallet accounts now include native XRP functions after the Oct. 5, 2026 update. The wallet stated on X that day that the XRP Ledger network went live for every user.
Core Functions Delivered
OISY on X noted that holders can keep native XRP inside the wallet. They can also send the asset and swap it directly. These three actions form the main utility added in the release notes posted on GitHub.
Interface Adjustments
Release notes detail several screen level changes. A warning appears if a destination tag is left out during a send. The send screen lists addresses used in recent transactions. A new send is blocked until any pending transfer finishes. XRP addresses can be saved to the contacts list for repeated use.
Transaction History and Views
Older XRP transactions appear when a user scrolls down the history list. The asset also has its own dedicated token details view. These elements separate XRP activity from other supported chains.
Limitations Noted
Custom tokens issued on the XRP Ledger are not yet supported. The release notes state this feature remains unavailable for now.
Key Management Details
OISY on X explained the signing process. No single party holds a complete key. Instead, key pieces sit across a network and combine to sign transactions. This approach applies to the entire wallet, including the new XRP support.
Broader Wallet Context
The same X posts describe the wallet as open source and browser based. It runs on the Internet Computer. Bitcoin, XRP, Solana and Ethereum sit among the supported networks. The Oct. 5 announcement positioned the XRP addition as an extension of this existing multichain setup.
Practical Ownership Points
Users gain direct control over native XRP balances. They interact with the XRP Ledger without leaving the OISY interface. Address management through contacts and the recent list reduces manual entry steps. Scrollable history and a separate token view keep records organized.
Release Timeline
The wallet made the functions available on Oct. 5, 2026. Earlier dates mentioned in planning notes remain separate from the actual go live. The GitHub release notes and X posts from Oct. 5 serve as the primary record of the change.
The update focuses on standard ledger actions rather than additional services. OISY keeps the emphasis on account level access and the mechanics already described in the notes.
